SCENIC FLIGHTS OVER KILIMANJARO & NGORONGORO

Sometimes the most luxurious way to see a landscape is to rise above it. Aerial perspective turns familiar icons into something quietly unforgettable — the sweep of the mountain, the geometry of craters, the volcanic edge of the Rift Valley, and the soft light that makes Tanzania feel endless.

For travellers who prefer perspective over pressure

These flights are not “add-ons” — they’re experiences in their own right. They’re for the traveller who wants to feel the scale of Tanzania in one breath: the mountain’s snow line, the highland rims, the bright salt-and-red tones of Lake Natron, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing the route unfold beneath you.

We keep it simple and intentional: a small group, clear routing, and timing that favours the best light. You’ll find three signature flight options below — each designed around the views that matter most, with straightforward passenger limits and transparent “from” pricing.

Choose your flight

Each route is crafted around a distinct mood — from a focused mountain reveal to a longer highland story across craters and volcanic terrain. Tell us your dates and where you’re staying, and we’ll recommend the cleanest departure point and best timing.

Important note: A concession / park-related fee may apply per flight on certain routes and is subject to change. Where applicable, the current guidance is $1,000 + VAT per flight, exclusive of the flight rate shown. We confirm all applicable fees and taxes clearly before you commit.

What’s included — quietly, as it should be

The experience is designed to feel effortless. During the flight, you’ll have the right small details for viewing and orientation — including binoculars and route maps — so you can stay present, not distracted.

For mountain routes, flights can be operated at higher altitude with supplemental oxygen available when required, so comfort stays consistent even as the views become more dramatic.

Scenic flights FAQs

When should we fly for the best views?
Early morning is the sweet spot for clarity and gentle light. For Kilimanjaro routes, a sunrise-time departure is often ideal before heat haze builds. If you share your dates and lodge, we’ll recommend the cleanest window.
How long is the experience?
A 1-hour flight is perfect for a focused mountain reveal. A 2-hour route allows a richer highland story — craters, volcanic ridgelines, and Lake Natron — without feeling hurried.
How many people can join?
These flights are designed for small groups: typically 4 passengers minimum and 9 passengers maximum, depending on the route and aircraft configuration.
What’s included on board?
Viewing and orientation essentials are included, such as binoculars and maps, so you can enjoy the landscape with context — and without effort.
Are there extra fees?
Certain routes may require a concession or park-related fee per flight. We confirm the applicable fee and tax transparently at quotation stage (fees are subject to change).
Can we pair a flight with a safari day?
Yes — and it can be a beautiful rhythm: a flight for perspective, then ground time for detail. We’ll advise what pairs naturally with your itinerary so the day feels balanced, not rushed.
