Zanzibar Excursion Guide

Stone Town, Zanzibar

About the Role

Lead cultural tours, spice farm visits, and beach excursions with engaging storytelling and local insights. As a Zanzibar Excursion Guide, you'll be the face of our company for guests exploring the rich history and beautiful landscapes of Zanzibar.

Language Bonus: Additional compensation offered for fluency in Chinese, French, Italian, German, or Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging cultural tours of Stone Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Lead visits to spice farms with detailed explanations of local agriculture
  • Organize and guide beach excursions to pristine Zanzibar beaches
  • Share in-depth knowledge of Zanzibar's history, culture, and traditions
  • Ensure guest safety and comfort during all excursions
  • Handle logistics and timing for smooth operation of tours

Requirements

  • Certificate in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a tour guide in Zanzibar
  • Fluency in English and Swahili (additional languages a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge of Zanzibar's history and culture
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Valid Zanzibar tour guide license
