Great Migration questions
When is the best time for a Great Migration safari?
The best time depends on the experience you value. The southern plains are especially compelling around calving season early in the year, while northern Serengeti travel is often favoured from July to October. The movement is natural and responds to the rains, so no month can be treated as a guarantee.
Can you guarantee a Mara River crossing?
No. River crossings are unpredictable. We can position your safari in the northern Serengeti during the usual period and allow enough time in the area, but wildlife behaviour should never be sold as a promise.
How long should a luxury migration safari be?
Seven to ten days is a strong range for combining the migration with a relaxed, private northern Tanzania safari. More time is valuable when you want to add another region, avoid rushed transfers or stay longer in a particularly productive area.
Can the camps and lodges be changed?
Yes. Every outline is refined around current availability, the desired standard of accommodation and the route that makes the most sense for your dates. We explain any proposed change clearly before confirming it.
