11 Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar
A private, all-inclusive Tanzania safari and Zanzibar holiday designed for the July-to-October migration season. Start in Tarangire, follow the northern Serengeti herds at Nyikani Migration Camp, descend into Ngorongoro Crater, then slow down with three Zanzibar nights at Meliá Zanzibar.
July to October is the time to combine Tarangire’s elephant country with the central Serengeti and the northern migration corridor. Two unhurried nights at Nyikani Migration Camp put you where the herds can be, before the route turns towards the crater.
The journey is privately guided from arrival through the safari, with the onward Arusha-to-Zanzibar flight and three beachfront nights arranged as one considered finale rather than a separate add-on.
Migration is never a fixed show. This route gives your private guide room to respond to the herds, weather and river activity, then trades the safari dust for three slow nights on Zanzibar’s coast.

Arusha
A considered arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where your private driver meets you and transfers you to Gran Meliá Arusha. Settle in, enjoy dinner and allow the first evening to remain uncomplicated before your private journey begins.
Your team reconfirms the next morning’s flight timing, luggage guidance and private collection, so the safari begins with clarity rather than a rushed start.

Day 202
Tarangire National Park
Into elephant country
After breakfast, leave Arusha with your private guide and travel to Tarangire National Park. Game drive through a landscape of baobabs, seasonal marsh and riverine woodland, with a picnic lunch planned around wildlife activity.
Continue to Manyara Best View Lodge & Spa for an elevated evening and a relaxed reset before the Serengeti chapters ahead.

Central Serengeti
West into the Serengeti
Travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to the central Serengeti. The drive is part of the safari: your private guide shapes the pace around the landscape, wildlife and daylight rather than treating the journey as a transfer.
Arrive at Serengeti Safari Haven with time to settle in before an afternoon drive through the plains around camp.

Central Serengeti
North, where the herds gather
After an early central Serengeti game drive, travel north through changing grassland towards Kogatende. This is a true safari day: pause for sightings along the way and let your guide follow the best available information on migration movement.
Arrive at Nyikani Migration Camp in the northern Serengeti for dinner and two nights in the migration corridor.

Northern Serengeti
Migration country, privately guided
Spend the full day in the northern Serengeti, with your guide responding to the herds, river activity and fresh wildlife reports. Keep the rhythm as an extended drive with a picnic, or return to camp between morning and afternoon activity.
A balloon safari may be added where conditions allow — in the northern Serengeti today, or in the central Serengeti later in the route. The experience is arranged subject to weather, operating area and availability.

Day 606
Central Serengeti
South to the heartland
Travel back through the Serengeti towards the central plains, with a private game drive woven into the day. This second central Serengeti night creates a considered rhythm after the north, rather than a long run directly to the crater highlands.
Return to Serengeti Safari Haven for dinner, rest and one final unhurried Serengeti evening.

Ngorongoro Highlands
From Serengeti to the crater rim
Leave the Serengeti after breakfast and travel privately through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey is not simply a transfer: use the available time for wildlife viewing and well-paced stops before reaching Ngorongoro Rim Lodge.
The evening is deliberately calm, positioning you for an early crater descent and the Arusha-to-Zanzibar flight that follows.

Day 808
Ngorongoro Crater · Arusha · Zanzibar
Crater morning, then on to Zanzibar
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater with your private guide for a final game drive through grassland, woodland, marsh and lake-edge habitats. A picnic breakfast or lunch is arranged around the timing of your onward flight.
After the crater, continue by private road to Arusha Airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, meet your private driver for the transfer to Meliá Zanzibar and begin the beach chapter of the journey.
Wake to two full days at Meliá Zanzibar. Keep the pace as quiet as you wish: enjoy the beach, the pool and the resort’s open spaces, or ask us to arrange a private Stone Town visit, dhow experience, snorkelling or a spice-farm excursion.
Your time is intentionally unscheduled. It is the counterpoint to the long, wildlife-filled safari days that came before it.

Optional balloon safari
Add a Serengeti hot-air balloon experience in the central Serengeti or northern Serengeti, subject to operating area, weather and availability. US$550 per person.
Rates are per person and based on the stated party size. A solo traveller rate applies to one guest; sharing rates apply from two guests. The scheduled Arusha-to-Zanzibar flight is included; international flights are not included.

Once your travel dates, rooms and final quotation are approved, a 30% deposit confirms the journey. The remaining 70% is due 30 days before safari, as set out in the current booking terms.
