July to October is the season to place time in the northern Serengeti, where moving herds and changing conditions shape each day. Two nights at River Camp give the route a proper northern chapter before a short flight south to the central Serengeti.
The itinerary is privately guided from arrival to departure. Flights, vehicles, park access and pacing are arranged as one considered journey, rather than a series of separate bookings.
Migration is never a fixed show. This route gives your private guide room to respond to the herds, weather and river activity while retaining the calm, polished rhythm of a luxury safari.

Arusha
A considered arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where your private driver meets you and transfers you to Giraffe Manor Arusha. Settle in, enjoy dinner and allow the first evening to remain uncomplicated before the northern Serengeti flight.
Your team reconfirms the next morning’s flight timing, luggage guidance and private collection, so the safari begins with clarity rather than a rushed start.

Day 202
Northern Serengeti
Fly to the migration country
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for the scheduled flight to Kogatende in the northern Serengeti. Meet your private guide on arrival and begin game viewing en route to River Camp Northern Serengeti by Karibu Camps, with the route shaped by current movement and daylight.
River Camp gives you time in the northern ecosystem rather than treating it as a quick transit stop. The afternoon stays flexible for wildlife activity and your preferred pace.

Northern Serengeti
Follow the movement
Spend a full private day in the northern Serengeti. Your guide follows the best current wildlife information, whether that means patient time near a river, longer drives across the plains or a quieter focus on cats, birds and the wider landscape between the herds.
Keep the day as a full drive with a picnic, or return to camp between morning and afternoon activity. The private vehicle gives the itinerary room to change with the conditions.

Central Serengeti
South by air, into the heartland
After a final northern Serengeti game drive as timing permits, fly from Kogatende to the central Serengeti. On arrival, meet your private guide and continue through the plains to Serengeti Explorer by Elewana.
The shift south adds a second Serengeti perspective: wide grassland, resident wildlife and a lodge base where you can balance long game drives with time to recharge.

Central Serengeti
The Serengeti, your way
Use a full private day to explore the central Serengeti around the wildlife activity of the moment. Begin early for soft light and active predators, then choose between a picnic rhythm or a lodge break before an afternoon drive.
A balloon safari may be added today where operation and weather allow. The experience can be arranged in the central Serengeti or, subject to the route and availability, in the northern Serengeti.

Ngorongoro Highlands
From plains to highlands
Leave the Serengeti after breakfast and travel privately through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey is not simply a transfer: your guide uses the available time for wildlife viewing and well-paced stops before arrival at Ngorongoro Explorer by Elewana.
The evening is deliberately calm, positioning you for an early crater descent the following morning.

Day 707
Ngorongoro Crater
A full private crater day
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater with your private guide. Explore its grassland, woodland, marsh and lake-edge habitats at a measured pace, with a picnic lunch inside the conservation area before returning to the highlands.
The day is planned around actual wildlife movement and conservation-area conditions, with time to absorb the setting rather than racing between sightings.

Departure
Drive to JRO
After breakfast and check-out, travel privately to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. Departure timing is reconfirmed in advance, with a comfortable allowance for the drive and airport formalities.
If your flight timing requires an additional Arusha night or a different onward arrangement, we will plan it into the final proposal before confirmation.

Optional balloon safari
Add a Serengeti hot-air balloon experience in the central Serengeti or northern Serengeti, subject to operating area, weather and availability. US$550 per person.
Rates are per person and based on the stated party size. A solo traveller rate applies to one guest; sharing rates apply from two guests. International flights are not included.

Once your travel dates, rooms and final quotation are approved, a 30% deposit confirms the journey. The remaining 70% is due 30 days before safari, as set out in the current booking terms.
